As waves hit the shore,
One higher,
Followed by the lower,
Thoughts hit the mind’s core
Sometimes hopes
Many times, worries.
The world right now,
Is so full of such thoughts.
The larger world before this,
Fading away somehow.
Why do we crave certainty?
When nothing was ever certain.
Why do we fear change?
When change is the only constant.
Faraway seas now have come closer,
‘It’ seems to be spreading everywhere.
I saw it in the news before,
Now I know ‘who’ and ‘where’.
While I can see myself,
Safe behind the doors.
I know many lives out there,
Battling tides away from the shores.
They say, the longer we remain in Pain,
We adapt to the feeling.
But what if I want the way out,
World is a clueless being.
This is when I re-realise the starkness
Not me, Not you,
Not mine, Not yours,
But the entire world is in the grasps of same darkness
Though this gloominess cannot be taken right away,
(Let’s digest it by taking a deep breath)
Always remember this one thing,
Dark nights are often followed by bright days.
Let us be that light, that brightness
In our own lives
In lives of others maybe.
Little empathy to yourself
And to those affected everyone else
The way we feel our worries,
Same way can we feel their pains?
We need empathy more than ever,
Compassion more than ever,
Not just in the means of donations
But through benefiting actions.
This is our light now
So much stronger when combined together
When you comfort yourself
Remember to be helpful to another.
Now, though we feel the blackness
let light guide us through the tunnel
So, when we finally out of it
We are into a better, newer, kinder world
Not afraid of darkness!
